Pre-Press

PHOTOS: Photos in grayscale or color look and print better at 300dpi.  If you are working with a Black and White Graphic, file should be  1200dpi. Please do not use the LZW compression. Limiting the resizing  of scanned images in Photoshop to 115% keeps the image at a better  resolution and will keep the file size smaller.

BOOKLETS AND CATALOGS: These projects should be submitted in a single- page format or "readers spreads". In other words, the order that they  would be read. We are able to set the imposition for printing here.

PACKAGING: To ensure correct output, the following should be supplied:
Application File, Fonts (All printer fonts and screen fonts used for  the file should be in this folder), Support Files and pdf for  reference. The best solution is to "Collect for Output" in Quark or "Package" on all programs.

GRAPHICS: Other graphic file formats such as vector files with type,  print at a better resolution if created in Illustrator. Typesetting  should be done within the layout program itself. Please do not change  the name of any graphic files after they have been placed in a layout  program. This could cause a shift of placement or an inaccurate image  to appear.
